In short: Onsita does not collect any data. Your customers, reports, photos, signatures, quotes and invoices stay on your device and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your private iCloud account. We have no server, no user accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking services. We cannot see your data.

This policy applies to the app “Onsita” (bundle ID ch.neohorizon.Onsita) for iPhone and iPad, including its widgets and Apple Watch app, and to this website. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data the app processes

You enter all of the following data yourself or it is created on your device. It is stored locally only (Apple SwiftData, in the app’s protected storage).

“Pro” purchase statusUnlocking Pro features. Provided by Apple (see section 7).

When you record data about your customers, you are responsible for that data. Onsita helps by keeping everything on your device.

No third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services are included. The app does not use the advertising identifier and creates no usage statistics.

3. Camera, photos and contacts

The camera is only used when you take a photo for a job. Photos from your library are chosen through the iOS picker; the app only sees the images you select. Photos are stored inside the app, not in your photo library.

You import customers from Contacts through the iOS contact picker. The app only receives the contacts you tap and has no access to your whole address book. Contacts are not changed.

4. Dictation and AI

When you dictate, the app uses the microphone and Apple’s speech recognition. If your device supports it, recognition runs entirely on the device. On older devices Apple may send the recording to its servers for recognition; Apple’s privacy policy applies. The app does not store the recording, only the recognised text.

If Apple Intelligence is available and turned on, Apple’s on-device language model (Foundation Models) turns the dictation into report text and detects materials. This runs entirely on the device; no content is sent to us or to third parties.

5. Sending reports, quotes and invoices

PDF documents and CSV files are created on your device. When sending by email, the app only prepares the message; it is sent through your Mail app and your email account once you tap “Send”. Using the iOS share sheet you pass files to a destination of your choice. What happens to the file afterwards is up to you.

When you tap “Route” or “Call” for a customer, the app hands the address to Apple Maps or the number to the Phone app.

6. bexio and Lexware Office (optional, Pro)

If you add a personal access token for bexio or Lexware Office, the app stores it in your device’s keychain. Only when you tap “Send” does the app transfer the selected invoice directly to the provider:

The invoice is created there as a draft. The connection goes directly from your device to the provider, not through us. The provider’s privacy policy applies to data held there. You can remove the token at any time in the app’s settings.

7. In-app purchases

Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive or store payment details. Using Apple StoreKit, the app only checks whether a valid subscription exists. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

8. iCloud sync (optional, Pro)

If you turn on iCloud sync, the data listed in section 2 (except the purchase status and access tokens) is stored in the private database of your iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so that it is the same on your iPhone and iPad. Only you have access. We as the developer cannot see this data. You can turn sync off at any time; you delete data in iCloud in your device’s iCloud settings.

9. Widgets, Live Activity, Apple Watch and Siri

The app passes selected information to your devices’ system, for example the running job with customer name and time, today’s hours or the open amount. These appear in widgets, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. The Apple Watch receives them directly from the iPhone. None of this goes through us.

10. Sharing with third parties

We do not share or sell any data. The only recipients are the Apple services you use yourself (speech recognition, Maps, iCloud, App Store) and bexio or Lexware Office when you send invoices there yourself (section 6).

11. Retention and deletion

Data is kept as long as you keep it in the app. You delete individual customers, jobs, quotes and invoices directly in the app. Deleting the app removes all local data. You delete data in iCloud via the iCloud settings. Please observe the legal retention periods for business records before deleting reports or invoices.

12. Email support

If you write to us, we use your email address and the content of your message only to reply. We delete the correspondence once it is settled and no legal retention obligation applies.

13. This website

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and embeds no third-party content. It is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. When you visit, the server stores technically necessary information (IP address, time, requested page, browser) in log files to keep the service secure. These logs are not analysed and are deleted automatically after a short time.

14. Your rights

Since we receive no data from the app, all data is in your hands: you handle access, export and deletion directly in the app. For questions, contact support@neo-horizon.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority; in Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

15. Changes

If this policy changes, we publish the new version at this address with an updated date.
