Privacy Policy
In short: GymTracker has no server of its own. Everything you log stays on your iPhone. If you choose, the app syncs via your private iCloud or exchanges data with Apple Health. We don't collect usage data, don't show ads, don't use trackers, and there is no user account.

This policy applies to the iOS app “GymTracker” (bundle ID ch.neohorizon.GymTracker), including its widgets and Apple Watch companion app. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data the app processes
You enter all of the following data yourself, or it results from your use of the app. It is stored exclusively locally on your device (Apple SwiftData, in the protected app container).

| Body measurements and progress photos | History of your body data. Progress photos are stored only in the app and, if you choose, protected with Face ID or passcode. Face ID is verified by the system; the app does not receive any biometric data. |

Widgets, Lock Screen displays and controls read a summary of this data from a protected area on your device (app group); none of it leaves the device. The app does not collect location data, contacts, advertising identifiers or usage statistics. There are no third-party analytics or crash reporting services.
3. iCloud sync (optional, Pro)
If you turn on “Sync with iCloud” in Settings, the data listed in section 2 (except the purchase status) is stored in the private database of your iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). Only you have access, protected by your Apple Account. We as the developer cannot view this data. Processing is carried out by Apple Inc. or Apple Distribution International Ltd. in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn off sync at any time; you delete data in iCloud via your device's iCloud settings (Manage Storage › GymTracker).
4. Apple Health (optional)
If you choose, you can connect GymTracker to Apple Health. In that case:
- Writing: completed workouts (type strength training, start, end, duration) and body weight you enter are saved to Health.
- Reading: body weight (for example from a scale), heart rate, resting heart rate and active energy. This lets the app show heart rate and calories during and after a workout, as well as your resting heart rate history.
- Apple Watch: While a workout is running, the Watch app records a workout (strength training), shows heart rate and calories live, and saves the workout to Health when you finish. The data goes directly from the Watch to your iPhone.
Health data is used exclusively for the app's features. It is not used for advertising or marketing, not shared with third parties, not sold and not analyzed for any other purpose. You can revoke the permission at any time in the Health app under “Data Access & Devices”.
5. In-app purchases
Pro subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store any payment data. Via Apple StoreKit, the app merely reads whether a valid purchase exists. The App Store terms apply; you manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
6. Notifications
Reminders (training day, weekly goal, streak, comeback, rest timer) are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone itself. No push servers are used and no data is transmitted. Everything is off by default and can be controlled individually in Settings.
7. Import and export
CSV files from other apps (such as Hevy or Strong) are read locally on your device. Exports (CSV, JSON, full backup with photos and videos, monthly report as an image) are handed over via the iOS share sheet to the destination of your choice; we have no control over or access to it.
8. Disclosure to third parties
We do not disclose any data to third parties. The only recipients are the Apple services you activate yourself (iCloud, Health, App Store), each within your own Apple Account.
9. Retention and deletion
Data remains stored for as long as you keep it in the app. You delete individual entries directly in the app (swipe or Edit › Delete). All local data is removed when you delete the app. You delete data stored in iCloud via iCloud settings, and Health data via the Health app.
10. Your rights
Since we do not receive or store any personal data from you, all data is in your hands. You handle access, rectification, export and deletion yourself in the app (Settings › Import & Export). If you have questions, including about data related to contacting support by email, please contact neo@neo-horizon.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority; in Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The App Store age rating is 9+.
12. Changes
If this policy is amended, we will publish the new version at this address with an updated date. We will announce material changes in the app.
